Individual Therapy

The therapeutic relationship is one of the strongest predictors of successful treatment. It is built on trust, respect, and a genuine sense of caring. I appreciate the courage it takes to reach out for support during a time in life when you are struggling and feeling vulnerable. Creating a strong connection is an integral part of the healing and growth process. In addition to the importance of the therapist/client relationship, we know that psychotherapy is grounded in dialogue. But successful therapy generally requires more than simply talking. I work collaboratively with my clients to set realistic goals, overcome challenges and develop effective coping strategies to help them move forward. Therapy is a process and the pace is different for everyone, but many people report feeling better even after the first session. 

Because I know that each of my clients is unique and comes to me with a particular set of needs, strengths and struggles, I believe there is no one-size-fits-all therapy. To this end, I offer a concierge-style practice (minus any annual fee or commitment) that focuses on flexibility and developing a customized plan. My clients have direct access to me and I respond personally to every call, text, or email. Individual sessions can be virtual, in-person, or a combination of both. Session length and frequency can be adjusted as needed. Home visits and “walk and talk” sessions are also available.
