My Services

  • Adults

People often seek support when they are feeling vulnerable and overwhelmed and despite their best efforts things don't seem to be improving. Chronic worry, anxiety, negative self image and depression impact our relationships, our physical health, our sleep and overall quality of life. With compassion and curiosity Dr. Costenbader helps create space for her clients to be vulnerable and engage in the work that is needed for change. While therapy is a process and the pace is different for everyone, a lot of people report feeling better even after the first session.

Dr. Costenbader has a concierge style practice, tailoring session length and frequency to each person. My clients have direct access to me and I respond personally to every call, txt or email. Sessions can be virtual, in person or a combination of both. Home visits and walk and talk are also available (maybe put in another tab for this?)

  • Teens

  • Couples

Dr. Costenbader brings couples together for joint sessions. We all share the common desire to be heard and valued in our relationships. She teaches couples how to communicate, deepen connections and to repair more effectively when things break down. She understands that it takes courage to ask for help in a relationship and wishes couples would reach out sooner. Often the best work can be done when couples are not in crisis. Small changes can make a big impact.

  • Unique Approach to Couples Therapy

    Unique approach

Jodi Costenbader, PhD and Colleen Rogan, LCSW have been working together for more than 8 years developing and fine tuning an integrative approach to couples therapy. The collaborative process takes into account the importance of individual work while continuing to focus on the couple. Each partner participates in individual therapy with either Jodi or Colleen learning about themselves and what they bring to the dynamic of the relationship. The individual sessions provide an opportunity for a deeper understanding of the issues and exploration of how the couple can repair. Both clinicians and the couple meet all together to connect the dots and foster change. Jodi and Colleen have a rhythm and flow that complement each other which comes from years of experience in collaborating in this way. This specialized approach works well for couples in any stage of their relationship and includes parent/child. The feedback has been that this approach helps people feel understood while gaining insight into their part in the dynamic.
